There are three main categories in which the Training takes place :

Beginners

Intermediate

Advance

All three levels go on for different length of time depending on the form of Coaching the child has opted for (Centre, Private, School)

- Beginners -

On an average, the Beginners Level goes on for 4-6 months.Here, the students get introduced to Basic and Tournament Rules of Chess. A good amount of emphasis is laid on Playing sessions. They also get a glimpse of the core area of Chess Learning, that is Puzzle or Position Solving.

- Intermediate Level -

This lasts for 9-12 months at Centres /Schools. After getting the basics right, students go to higher level of Puzzle Solving where multiple Tactical topics are explained and they spend majority of their time increasing their calculation depth and speed. Analysis of games played is an important aspect of Intermediate level where the coach spends time in correcting mistakes and suggesting better methods of playing. Students get trained to compete at School and District level Tournaments while they are in Intermediate Level.

- Advance Level -

After going through the grinding of Tactics Solving at Intermediate Level, students enter the Advanced Batch after spending a year or more with Chess. Chess is a never ending and all exhaustive subject to learn, so there is no specific duration for Advance Level to get completed. It goes on in batches of 3 months per level. All areas of Chess like Attack and Defense, Classical games of Grandmasters and World Champions, Positional Play, Opening Preparation, Endgame Theory are learned and mastered by the students. Those who want to pursue chess seriously can make the most of the syllabus taught in Advance Level.
